The Iora is a bassinet for infants designed to help parents feel closer to their baby as they sleep. It can be adjusted up and down and moves through three slide positions to fit next to the bed of the parent, or in the corner of the room to ensure that your baby is close to the parent's side. The mesh siding lets air flow through and allows you to see your baby easily. You can also store extra pajamas or supplies in the large basket beneath.
In contrast to other bedside crib options, the Iora folds flat and comes with a travel bag to allow it to be taken wherever. It was easy to move from room to room, and our mom testers thought it was the perfect size for a bedside crib. They also appreciated the large storage basket, perfect for storing spare bedding or nappies.
This is a great option for parents who want to co-sleep but don't want to share their bed. If one of the partners suffers from mobility issues such as back pain or arthritis. Our mums who tested it were thrilled to be able to easily access their baby in the Iora and that it included an option to have a reflux incline which helped alleviate gas.
Our mums are thrilled that the mattress adheres to NICE guidelines. These include placing the infant in the Moses basket or crib on its own without blankets, toys and pillows. The mattress is also firm and comfortable for babies and sheets are readily available. It's not as light as some of the smaller cribs on our list, so if you prefer something lighter and easier for you to move around, consider a different alternative.
